Do you think that breaks are for lazy people?

not really. i used to . until i learned that during a “break” your body is actually still working. on resting. and healing. and feeling better.

and it isn’t just physically necessary, it’s also mentally necessary. and *so* beneficial.

i have learned to take breaks. and i am definitely not lazy.

gratuitous breaks, are obviously for lazy people. but necessary breaks are important.

What makes you happy?

*lots* of things.

the ice cream man makes me happy.

sunday supper with family.

summer time.

the smell after it rains makes me happy.

when my kids get along and play nicely. or laugh at something.

when the roast turns out *just* right and it’s timed with everything being ready at the same time.

a new episode of my favourite show.

*so* many things make me happy, it would be hard to list them all.

Random act of kindness you practiced today.

it isn’t really random, but i do still have the #CommunityCupboard running.

we opened it when CoVid first closed schools. and we have kept it stocked the whole time. with a *lot* of help from our friends.

i am not sure if it counts as random, because it’s to help out my neighbours. because i recognize that when the people around me are uplifted, so am i. and i’m not sure if it’s kindness, because it’s … a tool of survival and to help us all thrive.

but it’s something i practice every day.

What’s your opinion about dieting?

i don’t do it. obviously.

i don’t think that it works for those that do try to do it. i mean, at least not with the intention to lose weight or something. it doesn’t seem to be a successful thing when i’ve seen it happen.

i am going to be embarking on a bit of a diet, though, i guess. i have been researching eating for your blood type. and it’s something i am going to start doing. on account of my recent heart issues. i think it might help.

i guess i won’t know until i try.

How do you plan to achieve your main Goal?

well, by continuing to work toward it no matter what happens.

sometimes my “main goal” changes … actually, it changes often, but i just keep working. on and on. and, eventually, i will get to where i am going.

i learned, a long time ago, not to get upset about not making it to where i thought i should be … but to be happy with a change in destination!
