How much time do you spend daily watching TV?

it depends on the day, and what you mean by “watching”

i often have a show on in the background while i work, i can actually replay the same show a few times in a day if i want to … just to get shit done. i like the background noise of people talking. it kinda makes it like i am working at an actual office. this is one of the things i learned about myself when Hunter was very small and our lives turned upside down.

i *like* the background noise of other people existing while i work.

there is a trick to it though. it’s best if the tv is in another room. and it’s best if it is a talk show format… they are very formulaic and the rhythm of the tune in, tune out, music makes for a real … sort of … metronome type of background rhythm that helps the day pass productively.

anyway … because of this … some days, like yesterday, i could “watch” tv for like 9 straight hours. but really i am not watching much of it at all. i might tune in for a moment here or a break to eat there. but for all intents and purposes, it is just background noise. it has been since the isolation of the youngBun times. it’s the illusion of other people being around.

makes the voices i hear seem less crazy 😉

Do you find it important to keep up with technology?

no. i mean, i only have had instagram for a little while and i am still not on tiktok.

i prefer the age old facebook and if tom was still around, i’d still be on MySpace.

i am not into the newest, fastest, faddest shit. i like … books instead of movies. i like radio shows even better than all of that. i like old school. and original.

i’m a hippy at heart.

What inspires your confidence?

well, i used to be a “fake it til you make it” type. actually. i would just keep pushing through. but lately, i have become a believer in Lillian’s verbage … practice makes progress.

i am learning in my old age that i do not have to be perfectly proficient at something to partake in it. thanks to Lillian.

i used to just not even try. but … she not only tries, she persists. and it has taught me so much about life and what it means to be an evolving person.

so, i guess if i had to sum it up to one thing that inspires my confidence, it’s … Lillian.

she has taught me, and loved me, and helped me be a better person.
